National Instruments (NI) LabVIEW

About NI LabVIEW

Origin of NI LabVIEW:

National Instruments transforms the way engineers and the scientists around the world design, prototype and deploy systems for Engineering Applications. The National Instruments Academic Program aims to improve the quality of Engineering education through their tools which enable hands-on and experimental learning. The NI LabVIEW graphical system design and NI real-time hardware platforms provide hands-on design opportunities to faculty and students. Laboratory Virtual Engineering Work Bench LabVIEW is a Graphical programming language.

Objective:

National instruments, strongly believe in bridging the gap between Industry and Academia. In this connection National instruments started “NI Competence Development Program (CDP)” at Lakireddy Bali Reddy College of Engineering, Mylavaram to encourage the students to “Do Engineering” with Graphical System Design Platform of NI.
The main objectives of the centre are:
  1. To provide a conducive environment and facilities for development of technical credence and domain expertise amongst faculty members& studentsat the Institute.
  2. To bridge the gap of instrumentation for interdisciplinary requirements.
  3. To utilise the facility for community development in and around the region.

Inauguration Details:

National Instruments LabVIEW Centre of Excellence (COE) at our institute was inaugurated on 22-02-2011 in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering by the Hon’ble Chairman, Er. Lakireddy Bali Reddy Garu & Mr. Karun Jain, National Instruments, Bangalore as the guest of Honor.

Key Benefits of NI LabVIEW Academy based CDP program at LBRCE Campus:

The academy offers courses for all levels of LabVIEW proficiency and on various hardware platforms. These courses are intended for B.Tech students of all disciplines and provide them opportunity to obtain three-part NI LabVIEW certification named as CLAD, CLD & CLA. These Certifications indicates a broad working knowledge of the LabVIEW environment and validate their skills at a professional level.
To make the certifications and trainings at par with NI International standards, the training contents and course material is kept same as used by NI-Labview Academy Community globally.
Key Benefits:
  1. NI will train LBRCE faculties on LabVIEW software platform & Measurement and Automation hardware platform.
  2. NI will recognize LBRCE as authorized training and certification centre to conduct LabVIEW Core 1 & 2 courses at campus for the internal and external students.
  3. After the successful completion of the course, LBRCE can issue certificate with NI logo to the participants.
  4. After the Successful completion of the course, the students can appear for globally recognized certification exam CLAD and passing the exam will enable the students to get job in core engineering industries.
  5. The same facility can be extended to provide consultancy for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Training Activities:
The Centre has been actively conducting several training programs to the Students and Technical Staff in every academic year. Some of the training program glimpses are given below for reference.

Module– I Training from 14th to 19th Oct. 2016
Module–II Training from 24th to 28th Oct. 2016

Two Day Program on “Use of Virtual Instruments for Technical Staff” during 06th & 07th July, 2018
Module– I Training from 13th Dec. 2017 to 12th Jan. 2018.
