Objectives and Goals of the Cell


Objectives of the Cell:

  To create awareness among students about quantum computing, quantum information, and emerging quantum technologies.
  To encourage students to explore the applications of quantum computing in real-world problems.
  To familiarize students with quantum programming platforms, tools, and software frameworks.
  To provide practical and hands-on experience through quantum programming activities and experiments.
  To encourage collaborative learning through team-based quantum computing projects and problem-solving activities.
  To provide a platform for students to discuss recent developments, research, applications, and trends in quantum technologies.
  To encourage participation in workshops, seminars, hackathons, competitions, and other activities related to quantum technology.


Goals:

  Awareness of Quantum Computing, Quantum Information, and Quantum Technologies.
  Understanding the fundamental principles of quantum mechanics relevant to computing.
  Understanding Qubits, Quantum Gates, Quantum Circuits, Superposition, Entanglement, and Measurement.
  Introduction to Quantum Algorithms and their applications in computational problem-solving.
  Practical and hands-on learning using quantum programming languages, simulators, and platforms.
  Exploration of quantum applications in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cryptography, Cybersecurity, Optimization, and other domains.
  Encouraging students to undertake innovative projects and research in quantum computing and related technologies.


Outcomes:

  Understanding the fundamental concepts and principles of quantum computing and quantum information.
  Developing practical skills in quantum programming and quantum computing platforms.
  Developing an innovation-oriented and research-oriented mindset among students in the field of quantum technologies.
