LBRCE- NPTEL Local Chapter:

   It is a partnership between the college and NPTEL which is established in June 2016. To take this initiative forward and to encourage more students across college to participate. NPTEL are setting up NPTEL chapter in colleges (with the approval of the management) which will be under the headship of a faculty member of the college, who would be Single Point of Contact (SPOC). NPTEL will keep the SPOC updated about all the latest NPTEL initiatives and give him/her information which he/she can disseminate among the students.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. SPOC attends NPTEL workshops, visits IIT and learn process and job responsibilities
2. SPOC requests HOD’s to appoint faculty as Department coordinator from each department
3. SPOC inform about new courses or any procedural changes to department coordinator
4. SPOC displays brochures on notice boards provided by NPTEL
5. SPOC publicize the courses amongst the students and faculties and inform them about the courses being offered currently
6. SPOC along with the team encourage students and faculties to enrol in the courses before the last enrolment date
7. Departmental coordinators maintain a record of students and faculty enrolment details
8. SPOC is in continuous touch with IIT’s, departments coordinators and students
9. SPOC keeps a track on number of enrolments and trouble shoots problems
10. SPOC recommends scholarship to deserving candidates
11. SPOC appoints mentors for guiding the students in successful completion of course
12. SPOC along with coordinators encourage students to appear for exam
