   Dr. T. Satyanarayana, Professor and Head of the Department of Freshman Engineering, holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Acharya Nagarjuna University (2010). He also served as a Research Associate at the University of Aveiro, Portugal, under an FCT Fellowship. With over 20 years of teaching and research experience, he joined the institute as an Assistant Professor on 17-09-2010. He was subsequently promoted to Associate Professor, then Professor, and has been serving as Professor and Head of the Department since 15-05-2025.
   Dr. Satyanarayana has published over 60 research papers in reputed international journals, authored 3 books, and holds 9 Indian patents. His research impact includes an h-index of 18, i10-index of 24, more than 1700 citations, and a ResearchGate score of 27. He is also guiding a Ph.D. scholar.
   He has successfully completed two Government of India-sponsored research projects (SERB and UGC-MRP) and presented over 25 papers at national and international conferences in the USA, Spain, Poland, and Japan under the Young Scientist category with International Travel Support from DST & UGC. He has organized several workshops as coordinator including Advanced Nanoelectronics in Engineering and Technology workshop funded by SERB. He serves as a reviewer for SERB project proposals and a Ph.D. thesis examiner.
   He is a recipient of the Best Researcher Award from JNTU Kakinada (2018) and the Best Teacher Award from LBRCE. He is the Leading Co-Guest Editor for a special issue of Sustainability and reviews for journals including Materials Science in Semiconductor Processing, Materials Science & Engineering B, Chinese Optics Letters, among others.
   His research interests span the synthesis and characterization of glasses, ceramics, and nanomaterials. He also coordinates the National MEMS Design Centre (NMDC), focusing on MEMS device modeling and simulation. He holds memberships in IAENG (Hong Kong), IETE, SDIWC, and WASET (USA).
