Skill Development Centre

The Skill Development Centre shall seek to impart professional training to students in order to make them industry-ready through enhancement ofskill sets. At a time of rapid changes in the technology front, it will help students to stay updated with the latest technical knowhow, including tools and technologies.The centre imparts training programs in training in various domains as well as soft skills, offered in both blended format as well as Face-to-Face hands-on Training by external and internal organisationsfor accelerated employability. The Skill Development centre of LBRCE initiates Skill-Enhancement Programs in collaboration with reputed  International organizations like Indo-Universal Collaboration for Engineering Education (IUCEE), i2E program from North-eastern University , Boston USA and National agencies such as  NME-ICT  Remote Centres and Spoken-Tutorial,IIT Bombay , SWAYAM PRABHA ,NME-ICT , MHRD ,Govt.of India , NPTELfrom IITs andAndhra Pradesh skill development corporation (APSSDC).  It also regularly organizes workshops, seminars and FDPs for both students and faculty in order to help them upgrade their knowledge and skills levels. The SDC centre also conducts special training programs for slow learners among SC/ST students as a part of the curriculum to help them cope up with the required leaning standards. The centre provides special industry-readiness training in Aptitude, Verbal ability as well as Communication & Soft skills drawing expertise from the in-house training resource persons form Centre for Career Guidance & Training (CGT) for better placement of students. Other than using the services of the in-house resource persons, this centre invites experts from the corporate world, academia to train and guide students for better career opportunities.

With enhanced skill levels and winning attitude, we expect our students bag attractive career opportunities, thereby contributing to all round socio-economic progress and wellbeing of the society around us, in general and the families of the students, in particular. Also, this centre organize awareness programs on entrepreneurship; liaisons with industry bodies and other agencies in  incubating and facilitating start up ventures by students.The centre also offers guidance on career planning, apart from behaviouralcounselling in order to make students feel emotionally secure, confident and practical while facing the various professional challenges in future.
