A Two Day National level Workshop on Recent trends in MEMS for Biomedical and Weather Monitoring Applications Organised by Dept. of EIE on October 18th & 19th, 2014.

This workshop will creates opportunity to equip with the ongoing technological development in the area of MEMS in certain fields. It also gives the knowledge of materials and the processing techniques involved in micro machining for the fabrication of MEMS structures. In addition, it gives overview on the usage of MEMS designing tools – Intellisuite, Conventorware and COMSOL Multiphysics. These are very powerful tools for engineers, Scientists, Researchers, students to those working in the field of MEMS. It provides 2D design specifications and 3D analysis of structures in various domains such as thermal, Electrostatic, Mechanical, Fluidics, Pizeo and Magneto statics. The MEMS Materials consists material databases and process optimization. It has one click meshing with the flexibility of adaptive machining, mask to mesh and process based meshing. It is a best solver for each physical domain with boundary element method, Finite Element Method, and Finite Volume Method. Intellisuite, Conventorware, COMSOL Multiphysics are used by major customers in 30+ countries. This workshop would enhance knowledge on design and analyzes the following devices:

1.       MEMS
2.       Microsensors
3.       Microactuators
4.       MEMS in Instrumentation
5.
